How can I get CS:S Content into GMod? - General

These days CSS content is used in a LOT of servers, and it's just one of those games you gotta have. I have another steam account that I use so a friend can play with me on servers while we're in the same room, but I already had to buy HL2:DM and I really don't want to put any more money into CSS. I already tried putting the CSS gcfs and all the other content into the other users folders, but it didn't work. Can anyone tell me how to get the content into my other steam user? (It's legal because I already bought the CS:S content). ALSO: Fast Threads seems like the only place to put these questions, is there another thread I could go to?

[b]EDIT:[/b] Extraction worked for the weapons, but not the playermodels.

The game has to be tied to your account or it wont work, as you have discovered.

Just buy it and it'll do it by itself if I remember correctly.

Short of downloading it illegally and manually extracting the files, there is no way to do it without buying it.

Holy shit man, I had the exact same problem, and it made me so frustrated on how many servers use CSS, but I solved the problem, unfortunately, If were to tell you how I would be banned for suggesting/talking about warez. :smith: oh wait, In the case that you already have the content just extract the content from the GCF and merge with Garrysmod/Garrysmod

Some people have already bought the game, but not through steam. He already has all the materials and such from his legal copy, but Gmod wont pick it up. He doesn't want to re-buy a game he already has. I think that's what hes saying.

You can find better weapon models on fps banana if that is what you are looking for since all the weapons are mirrored wrong. i dont like the gameplay myself, but that is my opinion. (I swear some idiot will flame me!) For props though that is another story, the props are good.
