Does anybody know a third party program for overclocking my cpu?
And if you do, what speed do you think I can overclock my Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 with an Arctic Cooler Freezer 7 Pro Heatsink?
Thanks
Software overclocks generally don't work as well for the processor because it can get unstable and you won't see the overclock until after you have logged in, but I believe the NVidia control panel has some overclocking utility (or you can download it as an extension or something) for the CPU.
You may want to consider looking for modified BIOS images that unblock overclocking
or, you can raise the FSB slowly in the bios.

He said third party program, and in his previous thread, he mentioned getting around the BIOS password to overclock on a prebuilt. 90-100% of prebuilt systems do not allow overclocks.
