Why would they? It's hard for people to threaten your business in a market that you're not providing to.
The most recent hockey game I can think of is Hockey? and that wasn't exactly the most serious hockey game when it released.
It's like if someone made a Maddenlike on PC. EA hasn't released a madden game on PC since '08, why would they bother?
This reminds me of the time I played NHL 99 with A JOYSTICK back in the day.
Funny, I bought NHL 09 for the sole purpose of playing a hockey game on pc.
Of course, after purchasing it, I find out that NHL 04 is the better version. Still, I'm having fun with it, but as long as this has proper kb/m support, it will take my money.
Only downside I can see to this is no mod support, I wana play as my team and not just this bush hockey league roster.

It's being released on PS4 and Xbone as well.

There's Hockey? by Cryptic Sea if you haven't already played it and just want a fun hockey game, not an NHL game. It's my go-to hockey game at the moment.
