Hi,
I am having problems with steam and hoped someone could help.
I have been using steam with no issues for years and with my current router for roughly a year.
Router is Cisco DPC3825. It was working fine two days ago but now I'm getting the error: "cannot connect to steam network"
I haven't changed any components adding any new software etc... I've been over all of the troublshooting on steams site in regards to software, firewall and even opened all recommended ports.
Does anyone know what's going on?? I have been running in circles for over 12 hours in the last 2 days and I'm on the verge of a break down! :) I'm not computer illiterate but not a networking pro either!
Please help for it will be 2 weeks before steam support gets back to me with some bogus advice.
Try these things:
Reset router,
Delete files that end in .blob in the steam folder (make sure steam is off before you do this)
Make sure you have all the latest Windows updates (Including service packs)
It worked. Thanks a bunch!!!!
