The C920 is a solid webcam but could have a better framerate and is probably not the best.
My android phone doubles perfectly as a very high quality webcam.

Go on Ebay, AliExpress or DealExtreme and find yourself a really cheap tripod. Usually ships from china for absolutely free, can take up to a month, sometimes a bit more, but it's so damn cheap.

Get the one with some bendy legs with soft padding, i find them a bit more stronger than the one with the small extending legs one. And it's handy they wrap around shit too.
