• No post or beeps on startup

The computer was working fine for about a year and crashed while playing games. First when I tried to start it nothing happened and I determined it was the motherboard, so I just got a new motherboard. I have an MSI Motherboard, AMD CPU, and Nvidia GPU. Now when I start my computer the fans spin up on the case and all components, the LEDs light up and the harddrive makes noise. However nothing is displayed and it doesn't post. Ive tried clearing CMOS, Ive tried two power supplies and two motherboards. When I take the RAM out or the GPU out I still get no beeps. It used to beep on start up to show it was working but now it doesn't The harddrive makes noises when in and when not in it changes nothing. The monitor is plugged in and working, the cables are securely in. The culprits I can think of are the CPU or maybe I don't have enough thermal paste on.

You also may want to remove the CPU and check for bent pins. [QUOTE=kychu24;46435181]When I take the RAM out or the GPU out I still get no beeps. If no beeps are being produced, it either means that the POST process isn't getting that far or you forgot to connect the PC speaker. Not all motherboards have integrated buzzers.
If you didn't have enough thermal paste on your heatsink it would either overheat and autoshutdown or reboot, IIRC Are you absolutely certain you've plugged in EVERY power cable the motherboard requires?
If the motherboard does have integrated gpu, you should try to plug in the monitor into MB's output connector to just make sure that graphics card is not faulty. Also as Gigabyte pointed out, the CPU might be incompatible with MB. Even if CPU does have same connector as on MB, the BIOS might reject it locking up system before POST. What CPU do you have and which exact model of motherboard do you have in your computer? With that info we can get info about compatible CPUs on that motherboard.
