I had been fiddling with this all day, and I even corrected it ONCE but whenever I boot up my computer, nothing is showing up on the monitor and my keyboard isn't even connecting either, but the mouse is. I have already switched around the RAM which seemed to work the first time but now it doesn't seem to work anymore. I also took out the CMOS battery and put it back in to no avail either. Before, when I got it working, I attempted to reformat thinking it was internal causing all the issues, but then it went to reset and it never displayed again and the problem started happening again. I'm not really sure what to do at this point anymore. I've also double checked the monitor cords and it all works fine and is connected correctly. I have been getting some kernel errors with my graphics card lately, but the only spare card I have is a 470 and I don't know how to take out a card and put one in. Considering just breaking down and going to Geek Squad, but I know they're shit. So, I thought I'd ask here first.
Possibilities:
-New Ram?
-MOBO Fried?
-HDD Fried?
Doubt it would be RAM, most likely your graphics card. Find out how to switch them out and post results.
Is your current graphics card plugged in correctly? I.e. not just powered on?
Whenever I turn the computer on, the fan on the card starts up. So, I assume its in its correct position.
Let it sit for a bit. When using my nvidia card, it doesn't come up for like 5 minutes after its been sitting on the login screen. This is because my AMD card is the main card and windows doesn't detect that I'm using the nvidia card until it sits for a bit.
I suspect leftover AMD drivers, or nvidia if there is an AMD card in it now
Your monitor must not be set to the right input, on my BenQ monitor it has an enter button which changes the inputs from VGA->DVI->HDMI.
