• Laptop will not turn on

Its a Sony Vaio PCG-7154L that my mom bought when Circuit City was going out of business. Yesterday I had just taken off the back part of it just to look at the insides of it. Now it wont turn on. I though it had to do with the fact that I didn't plug something back in when i closed it up, but after I did that it still didn't work. I just need some help, my mom was pretty pissed when she saw me working on it.
do you see anything or is it giving a beep code? [editline]6th November 2010[/editline] eg: my inspiron 6000 gave me a beep code when the ram was not set right.
Beep code?
Won't turn on? May be a power issue. Check the cord, check the battery, if you know someone with a similar laptop or the same, use their cord see if it works, and maybe if they have the same battery you can try that too. If you have a multimeter, you can test the cord see if power is even going through it. Or you could sell it on eBay and say it works, and if the person who buys it says that it's broken tell them it is all their fault, and that if they send it back you can fix it because you're an electronics expert and make them pay for shipping it to you and back, but not before you go into the laptop and destroy a couple of components because you did a piss poor job of soldering it. Then I have to fucking buy a new laptop because you don't do refunds. And what the hell is a beep code?
Remove battery, remove power cable, hold On/Off switch for 60 seconds to reset BIOS.
