Woah what? 5$ a month? That's a huge offer. The catalogue includes fairly recent games, too. Unfortunately those games don't heavily appeal to me; I already have the ones I really care about due to extreme steam sales and bundles.
Sick, was hoping this would come to PC. £20 for a year on the Xbone was a great deal (with people on ebay selling it for £12 which is mad) for a few good games you can play whenever you want over the year. Plus it meant you got 10 hours of Battlefront, which is basically the whole game anyway.
I dislike this idea due to the ammount of ways EA can exploit to shank consumers.
Honestly EA has been doing pretty good in the past few years. Battlefront fiasco aside, I think they have learned from many of their past mistakes.
This looks like a good deal. Like really good. (As long as you like the games)
I like how subscription services are making a comeback, it reminds me of Metaboli :v: Too bad you don't get to keep your games from what I've seen, or do you?

I swear if they pull an Adobe and make this the only way of getting their games later on..

But I'd still wait a bit longer untill I can actually support them. If they want to apologize and fix something, they need to show totall commitment to their new path. Just like any alcoholic.
EA probably forced them.
No DICE just really wanted to make a super casual Star Wars shooter that lacked depth. EA reps don't go into DICE offices and look over the shoulders of the designers during meetings and say "No make that more casual". [editline]12th January 2016[/editline] Regarding the topic at hand: That it doesn't include DLC is a major turn off for some of these games, namely the Battlefield ones. $5 is practically nothing but I wouldn't want to be limited to vanilla servers in BF4 for example.
What if, I don't know, Disney wanted the game to be more casual, so it reaches wider and younger audience and pushes Star Wars earnings even more ?

These people don't have as much influence on the overall design of the game as you believe. It's really just down to making the game DICE wanted to make. [editline]12th January 2016[/editline] I have it on good authority that no one on DICE even talked to someone from Disney, let alone had them influence the gameplay.
$5 for Battlefield and Dragon Age? My god I almost want this.
Thanks for your interest! Origin Access isn't available in your area yet. Please watch this space for news and updates.
Welp
Well EA at least set the deadline, Pretty sure I read that somewhere. DICE only had 2 years to make the game. They wanted it out around the same time as Ep7 [editline]13th January 2016[/editline] Huh, Origin Access is $4.99 Canadian as well, they didn't adjust the price.

Usually we have to pay far more for our games than Americans, but 4€ is just ~$4.30
