Quick Time Event multiplayer matches. Now that sounds like a true barrel of fun...
Only time i actually found a season pass worth was for Battlefield 3 and for CoD.
everyone gets a season pass
To be fair, if you feel like you're likely to get all DLC anyway, the season pass is almost always a good deal.
Crytek should stick to making tech demos

They actually removed the QTE's so they just happen with no button prompts
Are they still trying to pass this shit off as authentic?

except that far cry is pretty good and crysis is one of the best first person shooters ever made

Far Cry isn't made by them though. Crysis is fun in many ways, but calling it one of the best is quite the stretch. Though that's my opinion :v:

Far Cry was Crytek's original flagship title

wowww

I thought you meant the series though, my bad.
IMO Far Cry and Crysis 1 were fantastic games, though they weren't without flaws. I just loved especially in Crysis how much experimentation there was with the gameplay (and throwing people through houses), though the aliens were pretty meh.
Crysis still looks visually amazing for how old it is now too.
I didn't like the shift to focusing on fighting Aliens in C2 and C3, though they weren't bad games.
what's with all these games and having season passes before the consoles comes out? first killzone shadow fall, and now this.
I like how the trailer for the co op mode says "Not actual Game play" at the bottom.

the video in the article? no, it doesn't. the only thing that appears at the bottom is "xbox live required."
I watched more of the video, and it did show game play. The part that wasn't game play was kind of pointless to include in the video though.

the cutscene part? it's kind of obvious that a cutscene isn't gameplay, i don't even know why you brought that up.
how does multiplayer work in a QTE based game, serious question
It's not even out yet and they already have plans for multiple DLCs. I bet those future DLCS are actually finished content which has been taken out from the main game.
They should've made a PvP gladiator game instead.
It'd basically be a "Hardcore" mode, where if you die once you gotta start from the beginning with a new character.
And the higher up you get in the ladder, the cooler customization you get. Just like in the old gladiator days.
Instead they make a boring as fuck "horde mode".
The thought of holding those shields still makes my arm hurt, by the way. They have no boss, so they'd be terribly inbalanced, putting the entire weight on your fingers and wrist instead of your whole arm.

Both were good but Crysis got run into the ground and Far Cry has switched devs.
I cannot think of a good Crytek game made in the last 2 years. Their engine is good, but their games are just meh.
I still think that you shouldn't play this game expecting a Rome military simulator.

It's been toting itself as having 'authentic weapons, armour and tactics'. Just because you see a single shield-turtle formation does not make this true, and in some cases might even make it falser, depending on when and how it's used.
Total War also tries to be really authentic but it isn't. The games are perhaps one of the closest things to realism when it comes to that era, but it isn't stating that it's pure realism.
Anyway a game needs to balance the realism and fun amount of gameplay because both can be very conflicting. Also any game released by Crytek that claims to be realistic should be considered with a grain of salt.
