According to EVGA's precision, my GTX 295 is stuck at 400 MHz (or 2d mode I think it's called) and it's not going to it's correct clock (600 MHz) when I launch a game. Does anyone know how do disable this? It's happened to me in the past but I can't remember how I fixed it.
(It's not Precision that's doing it either)
on 2D Mode it will be at 400 MHz
But choose 3D Mode and it will be at the 600mhz

I know, but it's not doing it automatically when I start up a game like it's always done. And I don't know how to force it into 3d mode.
it will auto go into 3D Mode or it should my GTX 260 does

But it doesn't, and that's why I'm asking for help.
Try using GPU-Z and see if it shows the clock changing, it could be a bug with the EVGA program.

I seemed to have solved the problem. I was able to force high performance mode in the Nvidia Control Panel, but now it does't downclock to the idle mode it usually does during inactivity automatically :frown:
Ah well.
Try reinstalling the drivers.
Its caused by overclocking, Just restart your computer
