What happened to the good old CD rather than buying everything online? Hard copies are always great and better imo, worth the higher cost. Good thing I don't buy stuff from iTunes anyway.
Physical good are useless and outdated, that's what happened to them. Why have 200 DVDs taking a corner of your house up when you can store them all on a tiny box in the loft and watch them on any tv in the house at a click of a button.
What kind of idiot opens up executable email attatchments? [editline]24th November 2011[/editline] It's just asking for trouble.
What kind of idiot opens up executable email attatchments?
Your average iTunes user.
Your average iTunes user that actually buys stuff off there..
Fixed it.

Why pay for music when you can pay a monthly fee for 4.99 for Spotify?
What happened to the good old CD rather than buying everything online?
Whatever happened to good old horse and carriage??
An attached link take users to a web page that presents them with a fake "Facebook Account Disabled" form. The firm says that members are then asked to fill in a series of forms requesting their login details, country of residence and the first six digits of their credit card number.
How could you fall for the credit card trick? Why would anybody want to use their credit cards on facebook anyway (exc. stay at home mothers who play flash games all day long).
[del]The only thing I'm not getting into digitally is books. I have an iPad and read a couple books on it, but I prefer the feeling of a real book, even if it means I have to lug them around.[/del] Shit, I don't even read much anymore. The only books I read are war books (mostly old ones) every once in a while.
shut the fuck up [editline]24th November 2011[/editline] bitch.
You're the kind of person who'd grab the Queen of England's tits and expect to get away with it.

I think it's good to own music on CD's just for hard copy purposes.
You're the kind of person who'd grab the Queen of England's tits and expect to get away with it.
What, are you saying that you couldn't get away with it?
What, are you saying that you couldn't get away with it?
forreal
RAID.
A RAID array is NOT a substitute for doing regular backups. It's merely increasing the fault tolerance. That said a combo of those two things is a great idea (well except RAID 0)
It is extremely unlikely that 3 HDD's will fail in one go, but knowing sods law it will happen.
It is extremely unlikely that 3 HDD's will fail in one go, but knowing sods law it will happen.
Especially since I had a HDD practically grenade itself a mere moment before I was gonna do a full backup of it. And it didn't even show signs of that it was gonna fail on me. That's when I learned there's no substitute for doing a proper backup on a regular basis.
shut the fuck up [editline]24th November 2011[/editline] bitch.
You have big balls. it's 2011, everyone that used computers for over a year or two knows not to open zip files in emails
RAID mode?
It was just today that I read about how the iOS has had no viruses..
What happened to the good old CD rather than buying everything online? Hard copies are always great and better imo, worth the higher cost. Good thing I don't buy stuff from iTunes anyway.
You can still do that if you want. It's fun to do with certain albums that you're incredibly excited for I guess, but obviously digital is the future. Don't be a fussy old man already, you're still young, wait like 60 years to say stuff like this.
You're the kind of person who'd grab the Queen of England's tits and expect to get away with it.
I've done that
Why go out and pay more just so you can come home and put it on your computer and then have the CD, case and booklet(do they still do those?) sit there and be useless?
I would rather buy my music rather than just buy the rights to listen to it on Apple's devices.
What happened to the good old CD rather than buying everything online?
CD's suck ass. they degrade like hell. i found a whole group of CD's in my old closet and none of them even worked for whatever reason. even cassettes last longer.
Were they really large black CDs in paper sleeves
