• Should I make a thread for my greenlight mod or should I not post it?

Basically, since August 2014 I was working on a mod that restores the L4D Beta to the public eye, and yesterday we posted a greenlight page to get us on steam since we have limited on what we can do with L4D and limits to what files we can get. So basically I wanted to inform the world that there's a chance the L4D Beta will release, but I don't want it to back fire heavily (I am used to get heavy hate for posting mods anywhere, I already managed to get 2 hate groups for the mod made by some idiots http://steamcommunity.com/groups/left4deadzerourin http://steamcommunity.com/groups/piarmod). Basically I don't want it to back fire and cause me to get banned from facepunch again and have a bunch of people telling me to kill myself (long story short, I made a shitty hl1 beta mod a long time ago, and that drama still hasn't ended). I also tried posting some stuff regarding the mod in the L4D discussion but most of the time I just get dumb ratings and funny ratings, different story for the modeling section, they seem to like it. So am I in the safe or should I not post it? also sorry if this is the wrong section [editline]11th January 2015[/editline] welp being impersonated right now http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198043219929
I don't mean to burst your bubble, but being Greenlit won't change anything in regards to your limitations. Valve won't give you anything to make it easier (such as source code, etc.) without you spending a lot of money. Speaking from experience. You're better off starting from scratch using Alien Swarm or Source 2013.

Plus you were looking for Portal 2 code, We'd take unfinished code and plus L4D2 is the newest version, so old L4D code may be a little acceptable to send out, in theory, but that theory is probably so fucking wrong that I should probably quit while im ahead [editline]11th January 2015[/editline] but im being told not to stop, so im riding this wild ride until i die
Damn, I chose the wrong one. Don't wanna look like a dick
Well, I am going to post the thread, but I am probably gonna regret it instantly, oh well. http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1445897
