isnt there still like 300 bugs that still need to be fixed?
No game is bugless. And besides, you call 250.000 players at any time or something unreleased.
This wont change anything except maybe make a few more people play the game, its practically out already. Its like when Minecraft was officially "released" when it had been in beta for so long, its removing the beta label but changing nothing.

If it officially releases it means China, Japan and South Korea are going to officially get the game too and we'll finally see how much that brings up player numbers.
The formal release has to cover all hero releases, doesn't it? There's still a huge number of heroes out of the game, many of which need complete gameplay reworks. There's no way it'll be released in full before TI3 goes into full swing.

And at least 3 should release soon by what 've heard. Abaddon, Legion commander and someone else.
isnt there still like 300 bugs that still need to be fixed?
Only bugs I have ever encountered are very minor cosmetic things that most people wouldn't even notice. Aside from that there are very few bugs, they seem to release patches that fix quite a lot of bugs at a time but that is just the nature of the game (Hundreds of abilities that all work differently are bound to have combinations that react in very weird ways), I have never noticed any of the bugs in their patch notes while actually playing.

I know many people who are choosing to wait on Dota 2 until it is out of beta. The game isn't very accessible right now. Once the game is fully launched in all regions, that is when Dota 2's time will really begin. Valve has hardly even advertised the game thus far. If they've gotten so many players through just word of mouth and press coverage, imagine what it will be like once they actually start advertising.
