The comics were good, so was the first game, but to be honest I had doubts about this one based on the first screenshots that were released some months ago but seeing it in action I have to admit, it looks pretty damn good.
The first game was good, the multiplayer was unplayable.
I want to play this game.

I hope they have the same voice actor for Jackie. Didn't really sound like it though.

Nolan North does the voice now. He's talented and all, but he's in everything it seems.

He inhabited the voice of Jackie so well, that was the first thing I noticed when I saw the trailer and heard him speak.
I wish they'd get him back.
However, it looks to be just as story-oriented as the first one - not cut corners seen so far, but that can always change; hopefully not.
I really like the graphical style, it really looks as if it's inspired from the comic books, the faces look amazing, but also kind of 'comicy'. Can't wait for this.
I too like the new graphical style, but I feel that The Darkness was one of those games where every visual aspect was incredibly well crafted to create a stark and interesting world. It was incredibly grim, and the visuals were visceral. I am excited for this, but I can't help but worry that Top Cow might not be able to live up to the standard that Starbreeze set with the first The Darkness.
Well atleast they still have Mike Patton for the Darkness voice.

I believe that's cell shading, and yes. It bothered me a bit. The beginning was fine, but once I saw the guys getting sliced up by the darkness skills, the shading really stood out. It especially stood out on the pistols. I think it'll be fine because they didn't overload it with cell shading, but I do hope that it feels as 'dark' as the beginning of the trailer.
Looks good but Digital Extremes don't exactly have a grand track record still the first Darkness didn't have great gameplay it was other factors that made it stand out.
