New build down below. How would it do gaming-wise? Am I missing any parts? This is my first time building a PC without any parts "preset" and already picked out. Oh fuck I swear I had a mother board in there. Actually, does anyone have any recommendations for ~$600 gaming PC builds? I'm shit at picking out all this.
Motherboard.
Can't you get 1TB drives for 10 bucks more? And woah woah woah woah woah why are you putting a core2quad in this?
Your missing your Motherboard
HOLY FUCK HIS POST COUNT IS 666 D: Please don't post anymore.
What games are you gonna play and what is your resolution?
What games are you gonna play and what is your resolution?
Alright, so my resolution is 1280x1024, and I'm not planning on play crysis and stuff like that, mainly Fallout 3, GTA IV, TF2, Oblivion, Garry's Mod. Basically I need something pretty cheap that'll do well with GTA IV and anything 'lower.'
Samsung Spinpoint instead of Caviar Blue
Alright, so I tried it again.. How's it look FP?
Or 2TB harddrive. [editline]05:13PM[/editline] But I dont see a point.
Well, I'm not really worried about using too much off my Hard drive. Right now all I have is a 231 GB Hard drive and I still have 129 left. So is it alright then for what I'm looking to get? Oh, and do I need an SSD?
Oh, and do I need an SSD?
Clearly not at all. It just could be useful but it's not essential.
Alright, so here's my final build: [editline]02:38PM[/editline] Suggestions? Is the PSU alright?
I'd choose a corsair PSU over a fatal1ty, I've heard those tend to fail quite often, I've never used one though so I can't say. I recommend you try a brand that is known for building quality PSUs (Corsair, Antec, Seasonic) instead of going for cheap combos like that. The Power Supply is the only component in the system that has the ability to fry every other component, so don't get cheap on it.
AMD Anthlon II X3 435 for your CPU. DDR3 1333 Mhz (No need for 1600) The motherboard is unknown to me. That will let you to have a better graphic card for your budget.
