I've had a Benq monitor that for awhile I swore was in 144hz, but checking settings recently it wasn't, even though I swore I changed it. I've done a few reboots since and it's been resetting to 60Hz every time. Not only that, but my 2nd monitor will start booted but about 30 seconds after sign in it goes black and I have to reenable it in the nvidia control panel.
I'm pretty sure I know why, I use Benq Display Pilot, it has a color setting that I set up while I was only running one monitor that "starts" after the pc boots. The screen flicks black a few times, setting up the color profile, and it's about the time that the 2nd monitor gets disconnected.
I'd like to keep it installed because setting up my color profile/settings without the program now is really awkward, but if the only solution is to uninstall I'd like to be recommended another program to try and program my monitor settings into the monitor itself, instead of a software program, if that makes sense.
