Loosing connection in games but never completely disconnecting? Help meh!

I have a problem where whenever I begin to game online, the connection gets interrupted briefly and resumes quite quickly afterward. I AM using a wireless setup. When I use ethernet instead, the problem stops as expected, but using ethernet really isn't quite available to me right now.

For games like CSS, I will freeze for a few seconds, still able to move my mouse and look around, and then it will resume. During that time period the "Connection Lost" message in the top right displays. This happens for every game I play online and I'm wondering if there are any solutions. At first I thought it was because of power saving reasons, and I ticked off the boxes for both network adapters (Atheros AR5B125, and Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller) in the device manager labeled "Allow this device to shut down to save power". This had no effect.

I'm at a loss, can anyone help me out? It would be greatly appreciated.

Go into windows update and go into optional updates and see if there is one for your network driver
