• Netbook not Booting up

So, I've got an ASUS Eee PC 1005HAB. This morning when I tried to boot it up, it turned on, but it gave me a blank bios screen. I waited a few minutes, but nothing changed. I turned it off, waited a while, and tried again. Same thing happened. I took out the battery for a few minutes, replaced it, and tried again. Same thing. Anyone have any ideas as to what's up?
A blank BIOS screen? Can you elaborate?
It's a black screen, but with a blinking, white underscore in the top left hand corner, like it's waiting for a command to be typed. I tried typing, but it doesn't respond to anything.
It looks like your boot drive is messed up. Can you get into your BIOS? Try setting your boot device priority to your primary HDD.
tl;dr. Guessing from the title your laptop is broken. Get a new computer.

Can't get into BIOS. On starting up, it immediately goes to the black screen.
Really? That's odd. There's no POST? Nothing? Just a black screen? No boot logo? If that's the case, then it's your motherboard and you're probably fucked.
Great. Thanks anyway.
BWAHAHA Sorry, but this is just fucking hysterical. I have an ASUS eeePC 1005HA that died to the same damn thing. Actually, mine hangs on the BIOS ASUS logo thing, but yeah. And sometimes it does actually boot normally. If you're really bored, hook it up to a charger, and just let it stay on the screen. I did it once, after 2 days it finally booted up.

I managed to get it working on a quick Ubuntu stick I made. None of the hardware is faulty so we just need to repair/reinstall windows. I'm probably going to upgrade it to 7 because XP had so many problems with malware/viruses and I don't want to deal with it as much.
Try finding the bios battery, take it out, wait 30 seconds and put it back in.
