• Taking old XP HDD and place it in by Win 7, = 2 OS's?

I have an HDD that has windows XP on it and I was wondering if I could connect it to my current computer, making "2 operating systems" (upon boot up, selectively?) Just curious if this would work.
dual booting, you get like a DOS menu selecting which one at boot up
If I just plug in my XP hard drive, when I boot up, it will ask me which one to use automatically?
I think you have to change the info on the Boot Loader first so that the computer knows its bootable OS.
How would I do that?
If you'r OS is Vista or 7 you can use EasyBCD: http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1 Once you've installed it i think its just a case of adding xp if i remember correctly. Thanks. So I plug in the HDD, run the program on my windows 7 OS that is already installed, run the program, go to ADD/REMOVE ENTRIES ect, then when I boot up it would list both win 7 and xp?
Yep, i think that will work.
