I need help diagnosing and fixing a wireless issue...
I have Fios, 35/35 plan. I am getting about 4mbit down and 2mbit up over speedtest.net, on any server I try. Hardwired PC's are just fine, about 45mbit down and about 32mbit up.
Tried EVERY wireless channel. No help.
I replaced the shitty Actiontec router Verizon gives you with a Linksys router. The AT is still there, but the wireless is disabled on it. The WRT54G is serving wireless connectivity and the AT is serving DHCP.
Ask any questions you have because this is really ridiculous. To copy a 300 meg file over the network, takes several hours...
Other access points near me, mine is at the top:

On your previous thread you said you'd fixed it by changing the channel. If performance has dropped again, than perhaps there is just too much interference from neighbors. If you're router has replaceable antennas you could try getting some larger ones, and get a receiver with a large antenna. Also you could try the 5Ghz N routers, as the 5Ghz band is currently uncrowded, but they have horrible penetration issues due to the high frequency.
Can you re-explain your wireless network setup. You have Modem -> AT router -> WRT54 acting as an AP.
Why not scrap the Actiontec then
Modem/AT Router (same box) > Linksys router (wireless AP).
Signal is at 100% so I don't need bigger antennas, there is just interference from SOMETHING. But who knows what the hell it is...
