Sometimes my google chrome freezes when i'm loading a website and it says "Waiting on Cache Memory" and it freezes my whole PC, I tried to empty the cache multiple times and i even re-installed my whole PC and i still get it!
This issue appeared when i got new hardware(cpu, mobo, ram)
MOBO: MSI 970A-G46 SLI
CPU: AMD FX-8320 8C 3.5ghz black edition
RAM: ADATA 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 CL9 1600MHz XPG
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB ACX 2.0+ SSC
Have anyone else had/have this issue?
If you solved it, how?
Thanks.
I'm sorry about my bad english.
Run CCleaner or something, uninstall chrome then get rid of these folders:
C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome
C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome (or just \google if your only google app is chrome)
Reboot and reinstall, if that doesn't work you might have some underlying issue

I never got any google chrome cache issues on my wooden pc from 2010
its a mystery i get it on my new one(with 100x better hardware)
I was thinking that if you signed out and tried it then it may give you an idea of what's going on? Such a werid problem like this could be very hard to figure out. Press shift + esc (opens chromes built in task manager) and add all the cache monitors maybe you'll see something there.
Is it on a SSD or normal hard drive? Waiting for cache typically means it's loading stuff from the SSD/HDD. If it's on a HDD that is dying it would explain why the entire OS freezes while it's happening.
it was a SSD, it broke yesterday(power loss, lol)
i think the problem is solved but i'm not sure yet, not used my pc that much after reinstalling win10 yesterday
