It’s certainly something I’d like to see happen. While I couldn’t get through MGS4 - the gameplay was simply too fragmented, to make way for half-hour-long eruptions of pseudo-intellectual guff
Someone get the rope
It'd be interesting to see what the Fox Engine is actually capable of without constraint. Though I do wonder how a MGS game would control on PC, especially if you're one of the numerous who insist gamepads are the devil. The analogue sticks are quite important for sneaking properly, holding down a key to force slower walking would just feel wrong.

How many people play MGS with a dpad controller?
it's practically the same as using that

But I can't fuck up my speed using the dpad so that's a whole level of tension gone :v:
then fucking do it

I've never played an MGS game before but they could always use the classic Splinter Cell sneak set up (adjust speed with mousewheel).

I'd certainly hope so it's about fucking time.
Time to lay a sacrifice at the Kojima shrine in my basement to make this happen.

You'd have to give him the sacrifice of hitting on a thirteen year old girl until she kicks you out of her house.
That's gonna go straight over everyone's heads, I think.
if i can get out of shelling out cash for a ps4 just for phantom pain, i'd definitely play it on my pc. yes please.
Fuck yes, finally
I'm not sure why MGR even got a port. Was it because of Platinum?

It was pretty out of nowhere for me.

Because a lot of people wanted it on PC and the gods granted our wish.
Use Ground Zeroes to test the PC waters.
Its perfect.
I might be the only one not excited for a free roam MGS and I love that series.

You're right, you are.
Why?
Needs MGS3 and 4 on PC first.
/repeat

Port HD Collection.
4 is likely impossible for them at this point to do, or atleast, wouldnt sell well to justify the bullshit to port it.
Huh. I could have sworn PC versions were already confirmed for the latest games in the series. Must have been imaging things.
Nevertheless, I'd love to see a lot of the titles here on Steam, especially 3. 4 is probably out of the question though.
Do it Kojima, we will love you forever.

And I thought he was such a gentleman. Whatever, my pizza should be coming back up any minute now.
I thought we all knew this, already? Didn't he say he wanted to for months now, but it just wasn't a top priority?
If a PC version of MGS V is real, I don't have much of a reason to get a Playstation 4 now. Thanks, Kojima!
You're right, you are.
Why?
I just didn't think MGS was a series that needed to go in this direction.
I honestly believe that the level design and the gameplay will suffer as a result of the game being in a big open world. There's a few gameplay videos and so far I don't like what I see but I won't actually know until I play it so it's just baseless speculation and opinion right now.
[editline]5th March 2014[/editline]
I view big open world levels as a gimmick at this point because the gameplay itself seems dulled, level design is almost always unappealing and bland to me and I haven't enjoyed most of them, so basically it's a personal bias against this kind of stuff
That said there's a few exceptions on my list and I hope this makes it

Could do the same the older splinter cell games did, aka use mouse wheel to control your speed.
