• Server build

I'm looking for a good server box to buy. I've looked at a few barebone systems on newegg but haven't come across anything extraordinary yet. I want to host a few game servers on it so I am looking for CPU/RAM power, other than that I don't care (integrated graphics FTW). Any suggestions? Whoops found a better one:
Look for a cheap seperate board of same build quality, and compare the prices with the combo deal. Usually combo dealas makes you pay :10bux: more for a small improvement that you could've gotten anyway for the same price.
I wouldn't go with a WD Green series drive for this kind of server. Their I/O operations per second and random access times are low enough to make them suited more for a fileserver than a server that needs some oomph behind it.
Isn't this against most ISPs terms?
Isn't this against most ISPs terms?
How do you know what ISP he has and what their terms have? and even then, using a server locally on your own network is legal.
He never said what he was using it for :colbert:

I'd avoid any type of "green" drives, as they're meant for backup & fileserver operations. Go for a more performance oriented drives, IE: WD black series and similar
Thanks for the tips. I went with only because I will swap a raptor out for that green drive and use the green drive as file storage. I upped the RAM to 8GB as well.
