• I update my router's firmware, now it loses internet connection periodically.

It's not just my PC that loses connection, and it affects both wired and wireless computers. I own a D-Link DIR-655 (hardware revision A3). I stupidly decided to update my firmware since previous updates never gave me issues before. I went from 1.44NA to 1.45NA (all it did was remove the now defunct feature called 'Securespot', which some say causes issues, and I had off anyways) I've tried restoring my settings from my backed up file, default settings, hard resets, modem resets, fiddling with the settings, changing the time on the router, etc. Why am I having these issues? Am I supposed to call my ISP to have them know I updated my firmware or something? Please help. The D-Link forums are down
I don't trust D-link routers, they are usually rubbish. I would suggest Netgear or Linksys
Simply downgrade back to 1.44NA, then.
