My desktop mic fucking sucks. Anyone know any good ones?

I have the Logitech USB Desktop Microphone with a pair of headphones. Works relatively well. Sure other people will probably have better suggestions though. Go with one with a good brand + good reviews and you should be fine.
I use a guitar hero mic propped up on a pringles can, and have never had one complaint about it.

If you don't mind using headphones, the Turtle Beach X12 has a great microphone attached to it. It is pretty expensive, but the audio is good as well.

Not sure if you can detach it or not.

Agreed. To be entirely honest, I couldn't find other ones to put up that had pretty good audio, so that explains it. If you don't want that, then you should go with BBGuitars suggest then.

Make sure your Pringles can is of proper elevation.

Thank you for giving the link forgot to post it in my post derp.
If you have a pair of headphones that you also use while gaming, you could buy an Antlion ModMic.
I use one of these Samson Go Mics:

The audio quality is pretty decent and they don't take up much desk space.
They're only $40 on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Samson-Mic-Compact-USB-Microphone/dp/B001R76D42
