Problem solved I recently acquired a Radeon HD 6770 (this is the exact model) and I installed it today, plugged everything in and my monitor reads "No signal" as if it isn't plugged in at all. I have tried downloading the drivers from the official ATI site to no avail. If anyone could help it would be incredibly appreciated. I am using a 500w PSU, and I can provide additional information if necessary.
derp never mind
You plugged additional power and such in, too? RMA it.
You plugged additional power and such in, too? RMA it.
I plugged the graphics card's power cable into the cable extension running from the disk drive, then tried running straight from the power supply to the GPU by unplugging the disk drive, both had no effect. The card's fan turns as if it were receiving power but nothing appears on my screen, as if everything was plugged in and the monitor turned on while the computer was off, giving the "No signal" error.
Give us the info on your psu then.
It's an Ezcool ATX-500 JSP. I'll upload a picture of the inside of my case in a while if it helps
Ditch that. That's available on ebay for $12 without even getting into the technical reasons do you really want something so cheap powering your fancy HD 6770? Don't think I would.

I'll take my machine to my local tech support place on saturday, see if they can help. Thanks for your advice. [editline]9th November 2011[/editline] shit's £12 on ebay wow
Just spend 60 - 80 bucks on a 650 corsair
Got a friend round to have a look, turns out my problem is definitely with the PSU; peripheral cables were only 35A and my card requires 40. Thanks for the help, people.
