So tempted to buy this, but after RO2 and steam sales..
I think if you have the old disks and cd key you can get a copy of it for free. I still got my GOTY edition disks with all the stuff.
I wish that the shitty ones had to be renamed..
I wish that the shitty ones had to be renamed..
Same but oh well, life moves on and anyone that remotely is interested in military simulators will know that Atari is not capable of shit without Bohemia's support.
Oh, they just renamed ARMA. Would all ARMA mods still be compatible with this? Stupid question probably but there's absolutely no reason to buy it if they aren't.
the original game mods will be compatible with it but not ARMA 1 mods this is ARMA 0 :) in other words A:CWA is Real Virtuality 1 engine ARMA: Armed Assault / ARMA: Gold is Real Virtuality 2 engine ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: OA are Real Virtuality 3 engine and ARMA 3 is guess what ... considered 4 (not official yet) yes theengine we slightly updated so now it's build 1.99 :) higher it can't go lol
Just found my old case and disc, oh yeah.
the original game mods will be compatible with it
So no need to modify the config.bin or .cpp file for mods?
Wait, is this OFP or a remake on the ARMA2 engine? The system reqs have me confused. edit: After researching it for a few minutes, it seems to just be OFP:GOTY Edition with a new name... to differentiate itself from the horrible OFP2 games. Fucking bought, never got around to buying the expansion. edit: Bought it. It is indeed just OFP GOTY Edition with a different name, excellent.
OS: Windows XP or Windows Vista Processor: Intel Dual-core 2.4GHz or AMD Dual-core Athlon 2.5GHz Memory: 1GB RAM Graphics: Nvidia Geforce 8600GT or ATI Radeon 3650 or faster DirectX®: DirectX 9.0c Hard Drive: 1GB free space Sound: OpenAL sound compatible audiocard
Those are VERY low end requirements, Arma 2 OA requires alot more.
Irregardless, they're much higher than what OFP demands. edit: And it's not low end for me at all, my PC is 8 years old mang. Yeah, yeah... time to upgrade. Might happen this year.
this is not on ARMA 2 engine ... there is total conversion coming (we are helping the community team) but it will be not done until fall
Is it worth buying this or is ARMA 2 much better? The low price kinda has me interested.
I might buy this, a steam version would be ultra convenient. I only have a disk version and to be honest I have no idea where it is right now. OFP has some interesting mods of it's own though.
