Looking for a new GPU, upgrading from a HD 4870 X2. I want to be able to run the newest games on top settings for a good amount of time, especially Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim. I was looking at the 6950, would this be suitable?
What are the rest of your specs?
the 6950 should do the job, but the 4870 x2 you have right now is still a pretty good card
if I were in your shoes I'd wait a while or upgrade other parts depending on your specs
It would help if we knew your budget, location and your specs.
Yeah sorry about that. I'm in the UK, budget of £200 absolute maximum, and here are my specs:

Unrelated : If that CPU isn't under any load, I'd be worried. 67c for an i5 at idle is pretty high.

he probably just hasn't cleaned it lately.
dust can make temperatures skyrocket in some models

Bosh. Great card, great cooler, just under budget.
Also get a 64 bit OS that 32 bit can't take full potential of that 4gb on top of the video card ram.
