• Can't wake from sleep

I'm typing this on my iPad, so here goes. My PC went into sleep mode after I hit it by mistake. I meant to hit log off, but got distracted at the time. I held down the power button to turn it off and now when I turn it on it doesn't do the startup bleep like it usually does and has a blank screen. The monitor light is also yellow for standby instead of green, which would suggest it's still asleep. I've tried holding down enter, control, space bar and restarting again but to no avail. The main power cable has also been removed and plugged back in. Possibly the power control options aren't connected to the mouse, but I need it to start up properly to change that. Any suggestions appreciated.
Unfortunately, Windows saves its state so when you go to boot up it's trying to resume in that saved state. Happens to me occasionally. However, it should respond to keyboard input, etc.

Shall have to change the settings of my mouse now.
