Is this game any good? I remember seeing it on E3 and thought it looked like crap.

However I remember seeing recently that it's like the top rated game on mmorpg.com I think.
I might play it, played the beta, loved most of it, hated the combat. I hope the combat is at least a bit less shit.
I just want this to come out so they can release the sequel to Dreamfall. That ending was such a cliffhanger it's not even funny.

I assume they're doing so bad with this game they had to allow people to actually try it out in hope that they'll buy it?
I'm not complaining, hopefully I'll get a bunch of my friends to join in and try it out. Because of what I've seen of this game it's just dreadfully boring to play because of the stale and lifeless combat system, so at least having company could make it worthwhile.
I played it a little while ago with my mate, the game is sexy looking and has some nice scenery but the combat is god awful.
Still a shitty game.
What are you guys talking about? There has been nothing pointing towards bad sales of this, and I've heard it's really good as well, as far as MMOs go.
The combat(which is what you do most of the time in MMOs) is really boring and disengaging.
Don't judge the combat until after you've chosen your own skills and found the weapon you find enjoyable.
And certainly don't judge it from the tutorial, it's horrible and you're better off skipping it or try to get through it.
disliked combat in beta, bought game anyway, not going to say combat is fantastic but it's not terrible.
The game does have its flaws though, damage isn't scaled differently PVE/PVP, skills can hit 4k+ on people that aren't tanks and DPS usually don't go over 6k HP (DPS Items don't have health on them and by having more HP you're making your DPS weaker). Everyone apart from tanks in PVP dies in about 3 GCDs. It's rather laughable when you can press 1 skill, hit for 3.7k which will likely 1shot someone or make them extremely low HP.
PVE dungeons are pretty good, there isn't much trash at all. Is basically miniboss-boss-miniboss-boss. Encounters are pretty fun, 2 more being added next patch which I think is tomorrow.
Is there a FP Cabal?
Most people I know that play this game seem to enjoy it; ti's apparently not your typical MMO and the setting, style and atmosphere is good. The main criticism I've heard is that the combat sucks balls and given that combat is 80% of what you do in most games, you may get bored quickly.
