So I'm probably gonna end up getting a Razer Blackwidow, since I need a new keyboard.
My current keyboard is a 1st generation G15 keyboard, and while I love it to pieces it simply doesn't play nice with my motherboard chipset, which tends to read it more often as a USB Hub instead of a keyboard.
The Blackwidow seems like a nice upgrade because there's no USB ports on it to confuse my motherboard and seems like a logical next step to upgrade too. Problem is that it's a little pricey so I'm wanting to sell off my current G15 to help offset the costs.
About the G15:
It's a couple years old so I'm not going to beat around the bush in that it's used. The keyboard overall is pretty dusty but I think I'll probably give it a through wipedown before I ship it off somewhere (I don't think I can get everything though). The palm rest is still there but one of the connectors is loose. This simply means that the palm rest is just loose on one side when you snap it onto the keyboard - if you put tape on the underside of the keyboard where it is loose though, it fixes the issue.
Other than that it's in great shape all of the keys are in good condition and in-tact, there is no visible degradation. The screen still works and is as good as new. Backlight still works just as good as new.
Anyone interested? My asking price is SOLD! Sorry guys :( in the US - if you are internationally located it'll probably cost extra once I figure out how much it'll cost to ship. The keyboard is huge so it's not as easy as stuffing it in a small box and it'll likely cost an arm and a leg to ship it even statewide :(
Why is it blue ? I thought there was only red ones

This is G15 v1. It's blue and has a few different design aspects compared to the v2. The most popular one is the G15 v2, which is what you're used to seeing.
I'd argue the v1 is just as popular for the fact that it's blue in addition to the screen being adjustable. You can close it if you aren't using it, or adjust it to fit your height.
I was about to ask for your palmrest but I saw it was having the same issue mine is. :smith:
Are there USB slots so I can plug a mouse and a controller into it?
I may buy this. Depends on it's condition. Can I get a picture of your keyboard and not just one from Google Images?

As an owner myself with a mouse in the keyboard I can say yes. Dunno about the controller but mouse for sure.

I'd say the v1 is better than the v2 in a lot of ways, but more v2 units have been sold. That's what I meant by popular.

Yes but honestly the USB is kind of useless, as it's only USB1.0 due to the fact that the keyboard itself only runs off of USB 2.0.
Not sure if you'd be able to plug a mouse into it or not. If it supports USB 1.0 then sure.

I've got an MX518 plugged into the right USB port and it's working fantastically.

Like I said I need to dust/clean it off a little. I probably won't be able to get it looking 100% perfect though since some of the dust is under the keys.
How would you accept payments? I may be able to get an Amazon giftcard thing. But I may not be able to buy it. Depends on if I can get a debit card from a relative.
I'll accept paypal. How does the amazon giftcard work? I might accept that too since I'll be getting my replacement keyboard via them.

I don't really know how they work. I think they're essentially a prepaid giftcard.
these keyboards own
mine has survived 2 full glasses of water
I have this keyboard.
The palm rest is broken in 6 or 7 places so I wrapped much of in duck tape.
It still works perfectly as well, plus blue LED's man.
Mine's survived a camelbak of water spilling onto it.
Psh, USB 1.1, no thanks... There's no reason they couldn't have put USB 2.0 in there, it's cheap as dirt, even when it was released.

I love my usb 1.1, haters gunna hate.
Plus I use my tower's USB ports anyway, not the keyboard ones.
Yeah I have no need for usb on my keyboard personally but some people like them.

USB ports on the keyboard is alot more convenient than getting under my desk, trying to plug something in the back of my tower blindly, and bonking my head on the keyboard tray on the way back up.

Maybe you should get a less awful case with some reasonably placed USB ports?
USB 1.1 is an absolutely retarded reason to dislike one of the most universally loved keyboards ever.

Well I have USB access on the top of my PC for the important stuff, and USB access in the back for the main stuff like my mouse and keyboard.
It is nice no doubt, but I never used it and the USB drives on the keyboard are what cause the issue of where on boot up the keyboard registers as a USB hub with my mobo chipset instead of a keyboard (which makes it not work).
1st Gen G15 buddys! :buddy:
2nd gen g15, presumptious and poor irishman.
how goes dem custom dpads, masterclass. (should I miss them?)
Custom Dpads?
So is anyone else interested in this?
So is anyone else interested in this?
I may be buying this. I can only buy if you accept Amazon cards, which apparently can only be used on Amazon.
I would be interested but the sheer size compared to my V2 says otherwise.
I have never used the USB ports on the G15. The fact that they are recessed makes them a bitch to plug shit like USB drives into.
Besides, I'm trying to trade up from a Nostromo pad to a Logitech G13.

Sorry :( I already bought my replacement keyboard so I don't think I'll be accepting an amazon card.
