Looks interesting.
What is the gameplay like? Toy burner 2012?
I'm mostly just confused as to how this translates into a game.
This "teaser" teases who?What?How?
Looks like some pretty neat world-building to me, more so than a demonstration of game mechanics. I'm sure it has as much to do with burning toys as Psychonauts is about going to summer camp. it'll be present but it won't be just that
I'll be keeping my eye on this.
That is rather, unsettling.
I don't know, that trailer didn't really get me nervous. Anybody else really feel jingled from it?
Not sure even if this can translate well into a game, but that was rather disturbing.
the game is on pre-order for 15 bucks which comes with early beta, that isn't bad.
I really liked World of Goo
So I'm guessing, if it's anything in the vein of World of Goo, that the smoke from burning the toys is causing global warming (i.e. global freezing) and big companies, safe in their underground fortifications, are able to resell toys to kids over and over for max profits. Gameplay? Damn if I know. The toys were screaming in the fire near the end, maybe you play as the toys?
I really liked World of Goo
World of Goo and Henry Hatsworth both had brilliant music.
If you don't believe me, just ask some kids to sing "Ring Around the Rosie" at half-tempo.
"Ring Around the Rosie" is in itself creepy, you don't need to play it at half tempo. How many other children's songs are about the plague?
You obviously play as one of the toys that somehow survived the fire, and now you're out for vengeance against the traitorous children who tried to burn you. Chucky simulator 2013.
That trailer is terrifying.
The trailer wasn't creepy for me until he mentioned that they had to burn their toys because the world was freezing. It felt like some adult was trying to protect the children's minds so they didn't have to directly face death, with to me was most unsettling about the whole thing.
Yeah, the trailer isn't creepy until you think of interpretations of what they're talking about. [editline]14th July 2012[/editline] To me, I think the game has a dystopian setting, and the government or something is trying to cover up the past of something terrible, telling all the kids to burn their memories of the past.
I didn't even find anything scary about the trailer at all, I actually enjoyed the singing.
That wasn't scary, but it was a bit... unsettling for real...
