I'm really hesitant. i just don't see it being worth it's £20 price tag. :/

yeah if you dont fancy dropping 20 bucks wait for its price to go lower which will surely do, youll have to wait a bit though. Or get it cheap off another website as Coffee said. My mates got it for 10€ off g2play with the russian thing stuff. It's multilanguage and as far as I know there's been no problem with it.
It really depends on you though, in my opinion the game improves a lot, if only for the addition of trade routes which I personally find really important for 4x games. My only concerns with it is perhaps domination victories are less plausible, or atleast, you've to play your cards well and be thoughtful about it. That, and some tweaks I think would probably benefit the game but those are just my own nitpicks.

Oh don't get me wrong, im waiting for it to go on discount with baited breath, i was just suprised at the initial price tag for it.
