I wonder when my ISP is going to block the new url.
They blocked thepiratebay.org back in 2008.
Malaysia Bay, enough has been said.
I don't use O2 so I can't check for myself, but is this just a simple DNS block or an IP block? I'd have said that clever ISPs would just block the 'thepiratebay.se' domain rather than chasing down other addresses/IPs as piracy is one of the main reasons that people purchase plans with faster speeds, other than of course legal uses like YouTube, Steam, NetFlix etc.
"We wouldn't chose to do this voluntarily but we need to comply with UK laws just like any UK business. We're aware of the concerns voiced by members about the broader issue."
At least they are on our side
http://194.71.107.80/ still works.
lol

Not on Virgin Media.
You can go here: https://tpb.pirateparty.org.uk/ to download your legal free books and applications.
TPB is not about piracy but sharing free legal stuff. People just happen to upload illegal stuff. :)

Virgin Media are sellouts. They will be the downfall of the internet in the uk if they have their way. For now though they are the leading provider of the best internet speeds- to an extent.
Does anybody know if Talk-Talk or BT have blocked TPB yet?
VPS Proxy Tunnel...
Seaside, they've never blocked anything, that I know of

Still working for me on BT
Still works on Talktalk.
Our ISP blocked thepiratebay.org way back. Good thing they switched to .se then. :v:
My ISP wouldn't know how to block anything, even if you gave them a jenga mod for Minecraft

This attitude kind of gets on my tits, 'pirate' is in the name of the site

Despite the fact that virgin media were one of the few ISPs to initially contest the block? As far as i'm concerned Virgin are one of the few ISPs that actually understands the importance of net neutrality.
Damn O2, you used to be pretty cool.
Guess I'd better invest in a VPN then. Or just switch to the hundreds of other torrent search engines.
TalkTalk is now the last remaining ISP featured in the court order not to have implemented a block on the Swedish-based site.
Aw yeah.
BT, which was given extra time to make necessary arrangements, told the BBC it would make an announcement regarding TPB in "due course".
Well, this could be interesting
It won't be, but it could
If it's the same kind of block as here in Belgium, just set 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.4.4 as your DNS servers (that's Google's DNS servers). Even if you have another ISP, just do it.
Another reason not to use that shitty ISP.
Where can I get and how do I use a proxy server?

doesn't work, pirate bay very easy to mirror (that's why they got rid of .torrent files)

Its all about precious Linux distros!
Its all about precious Linux distros!
Aside from pirating, I actually DO get most of my Linux distribution for testing through ThePirateBay, unless it's not available.

Yeah, but you do realize the idea is just a place where people can upload anything and download anything? They're not making money off of it like Megaupload was, and they're not encouraging it.
TPB is the worst place to get linux distros anyways, public trackers are shite.
Looks like it's just been blocked on TalkTalk
