I'm doing this for a friend
He plugged it into his charger 2 months ago and when he came back from the other room, the screen was black
He didn't really troubleshoot or anything but now I think the battery has finally run out of juice and that's why I can't pull the home + Lock key trick on it, any ideas?
Do I just plug it in and give it an hour then try it?
How can his iTouch run out of juice when it's been in his charger for two months :downs:
You are not supposed to leave it on the charger for 2 fucking months
try holding the home button and the button on top of your itouch together for like ~10 seconds.
Keeping it on the charger for two months would kinda completely screw up the battery.
Try doing what the above user said, Home + Sleep buttons for ten seconds.
If not, Apple store.
Two months on the charger? WTF?
I was joking, I think what he means is that 2 months ago, he put it on the charger, a lil while later came back, took it off and the screen was black, user waited 2 months before making this thread.
Just try holding the power button and home button down till the screen shows an apple logo, or just go to an apple store and get help.
leaving it connected to the charger for 2 months will do nothing. it has a charging circuit for a reason.
