Please stop making these movies.
These movies have become cringe worthy. The first two were meh at best, but even those pale in comparison to the crap that the rest of the movies have been.
I mean shit, at least the animated movies are arguably decent.
I wonder how much more material from the games will be thrown in there for the hell of it. I mean, One of them had the big guy zombie from RE5 and his engine hammaxe just there with the other zombies. I'm betting there ends up a red shirt named Roy Ovenman or something dumb like that in the new one.
The animated movies are part of the game's canon.
Oh well, at this point both the movies and the franchise itself is batshit insane. Didn't Resident Evil 6 basically negate the efforts of the previous 5 fucking titles?

the movies make the games look bad
why even call it resident evil? is it even slightly close to the games?
I think the general public has suffered enough. Thinking back on it the only decent films Paul WS Anderson has ever made was Event Horizon and Pandorum. Please no more.
It tried to introduce a new enemy/corporation ever since Umbrella and Wesker are kaput.
Yeah, it tried to focus more on action and explosions. RE4 and RE5 had enemies that shoot back with guns, but that was only at the near climax of the campaign. RE6 had three campaigns (Chris, Ada, and Sherry) where most of the enemies have guns. That was a problem that fucked over the franchise.
Honestly, I just don't understand. Why do Chris, Leon and the gang keep fighting? Just cause it seems like its never enough. Someone eventually comes out with a bigger and badder monster instead of remembering that the BOMB exists.
Honestly, yahtzee said it best. The RE crew need to say fuck this shit and found their own little city on the moon or something.
I saw a single Resident Evil movie on tv once and I just couldn't follow any of it.
From what I remember it was nearly as awful as that DOOM movie where they didn't follow the real story from the game at all.
Why do shitty directors want to make movies about something they know absolutely nothing about?
World War Z comes to mind
The main problem is that they (Anderson, Boll, whoever the fuck directed Doom) have never played the games (because they're busy), but instead, they watch someone else play the game.
I think we all know that the Resident Evil films became a Mary Sue simulator for his wife from the very start, it's just gotten so out of control now nobody cares anymore.
The main problem is that they (Anderson, Boll, whoever the fuck directed Doom) have never played the games (because they're busy), but instead, they watch someone else play the game.
World War Z
to make the script for the movie, the directer watched someone read the book instead of actually reading it
then when taking a shit in an outhouse with like 15 people in a line, he scribbled the script onto that brown toilet paper
Capcom wants to introduce a new mysterious evil group hellbent on terrorizing the world with bioterrorism. By some mere coincidence, Leon, Sherry, Chris, and Ada all have a hand to play into stopping the evil bioterrorists.
That was the gist of the entire story.
I mean, I got the gist of that whole Family thing, but what was up with [sp]mr big bad government guy basically being wesker 2.0 and the ada clone chick. I got that she was created by him but it never explained why the hell carly looked like her, at least I didn't see any reason why.[/sp]

But why?! This is obviously Capcom's take of theEvil Dead series.
You see it starts off being scary and gory in the beginning, and ends up being a lighthearted comedy.

Holy Fuck.
I remember Event Horizon, it was pretty much The Shining in Space.
Im not kidding, it literally is The Shining. People say that if Lawrence Fishburne wasn't in it they wouldn't have cast him in The Matrix. So um- Thats positive?
The only one that is watchable is the first 2 and even so the Second is atrocious. To be honest, the rest of the movies are a complete joke. The first is bearable but still very very silly.
But why?! This is obviously Capcom's take of theEvil Dead series.

The Resident Evil movies are more like if Evil Dead was a fully established horror franchise beforehand, Ash was an original character made for the movies played by the director's husband, and the shift from horror to comedy wasn't so much for entertainment reasons as ways to give the original character played by the director's hubby the most screentime possible and all the "good" scenes.
Do people still really care about obviously stretched and bad movies, this is the last one anyway. Get over it.
Also what kind of question is "Will Milla Jovovich return to reprise her role"? That's the dumbest question ever, she's the director's wife forgodsake and she's been in ALL of the past movies.
The last movie ended with Wesker becoming president of the united states. What's not to love?

That's not a photoshop?
Can they just write a Resident Evil movie that's based in reality and is more about the character development and story instead of the action?

Then it'd be absolutely nothing like the games.

It confuse me. Why did Wesker want to help mankind all of a sudden?
The transitions between the Resident Evil movies never make any sense and are usually not even explained or mentioned in the following films. Alice has the amazing ability to just show up in the beginning of the films to save someone and show off some new power.
Also this is just so Paul Anderson can get Milla Jovavich almost nude in pretty much every opening sequence.

Paul WS Anderson has the subtly of a 13 year old fanfiction writer.
Resident Evil has his wife as a Mary Sue, Alien vs Predator had a shitty Ripley clone (worse than the actual Ripley clone is ressurection), every female character in Death Race is only there to look at, and I'm pretty sure Sonya would have been a completely forgettable and generic kickass female lead if it weren't for the fact she had to be kidnapped for the plot to work.

Imagine how awkward press conferences would be with him

RE6 has 4 campaigns. Chris, Leon, Ada, Jake.
Chris, Ada and Jake have enemies that shoot back. Leon had zombies for like half of his.
after re6 its not like the series can go down any lower
don't be so sure

I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing that this looked like a shot from Saints Row 4 at first. Probably says a lot about how ridiculous it is.
The first movie was pretty good.
Then it all went downhill from there. And not a regular slightly sloped hill, it fell straight down off a cliff and has been falling ever since.
I care so little about the characters these films introduce, like Alice
