Basically what it says in the title. dl.dropbox.com/u/49676805/ZScreen/2012-07/mic%20shit.mp3 Here it is compared to my old mic. Ï can scratch my arm and other people can hear it, clear as day. [editline]31st July 2012[/editline] I'm kinda angry and tired right now, so if there's any info you need just ask. What a ripoff. Must be a failed experiment or something. Have you checked in with support?
What are your microphone settings on? If you have it at -DB levels it will pick up EVERYTHING.

I can't return the microphone sadly, and I hear others having the same problem, with Logitech's only response being "It works fine for us." Though all the the reviews I look at have 4-5 stars when they aren't complaining about them being too stupid to turn up the volume. They say that the noise cancelling works great. Are you sure 'Noise Cancellation' means what you think it means? If it's anything like Realtek's noise suppression feature, all it does is suppress the constant and consistent background noise. Scratching your arm, typing, scrolling, whathaveyou aren't either of these. A blasting AC in the background, however, is and that noise will be suppressed so that it is quiet on the receiving end. Seriously, I've had an AC unit in my room that was so loud I could barely hear friends over skype, but they could hear my voice almost clearly with a bit of distortion (from the shitton of suppression) and NOT hear the AC at all. And what was your old mic?
It was a trust desktop microphone, and even if I've misunderstood the meaning of the word, it's still picking up the noise my computer makes, so it defintely doesn't have any noise cancelling features or anything, and I also saw a review of the Logitech where a guy compared his old trust microphone, which was the same as mine, to the logitech and the difference is quite clear.
I'd recommend going to Logitech support then. From what I hear, their customer service is top notch. Surely they'll resolve this issue for you.
Also there's this directly from their page: "In acoustics and specifically in acoustical engineering, background noise or ambient noise is any sound other than the sound being monitored(primary sound). Background noise is a form of noise pollution or interference. Background noise is an important concept in setting noise regulations. See noise criteria for cinema/home cinema applications. Examples of background noises are environmental noises such as waves, traffic noise, alarms, people talking, bioacoustic noise from animals or birds and mechanical noise from devices such as refrigerators or air conditioning, power supplies or motors." As defined by wikipedia. I'll go see their support page.
I say try and contact their support with this audio and see what they think about it. They may be like "The microphone is defective" and ship you a new one. But ya, as far as I see "Logitech is full of shit" is true.
