ROFL. reinstalled your PC?
I'd expect this from a fag that has a Club Penguin avi.
Anyway, I'll go play through Bioshock 2 for a bit with hwmonitor, and post temps.
Temps before;;;

for idle that gpu is a tad high, might want to dust it out.
what is the PSU you are running
PSU Voltage? How do I find out? D:
Also, the PC is sitting on the floor between a TV entertainment center thing and the computer desk.
Could that be a problem? >_<
is this prebuilt?
is this a laptop
I don't think 19 inch laptops exist...
Most likely temperatures. As suggested above try dusting out your graphics card. If you don't want to take it out, just buy a few air dusters and blow the dust from the innards of your computer.
If the problem persists, contact HP and inform them of your problem. It's best not to take the problem into your own hands as the warranty on the computer could be voided.

There's nothing about 19" in the OP
Do you think taking the side-casing off would void the warranty? >.<
Do you think taking the side-casing off would void the warranty? >.<
If it has one of those VOID rectangular stickers between the case door and the case and you break it, it will void the warranty, but most manufacturers got rid of those ages ago.
GTS250 cards are very heat sensitive, my old GTS250 card would cause the machine to reboot or BSOD if it went above 70C.

I have one :colbert:
82 degrees is fine.
Update drivers.

not really, it's getting into the realms of too much heat
not really, it's getting into the realms of too much heat
For a gpu? Not really.
For a cpu YES!
Ati even has its T optimal at 85C (your card tries to keep below that)
Don't really know about Nvidia tough.

I may be getting confused then =/
Just started PC.

What heatsink do you have on your i7?
71C is pushing it for a cpu.

Wow, I used to game with my 8800GT at ~100-110C and I didn't even notice significant FPS drop. I bought the Arctic Cooling Accelero L2 Pro and I now run at 40C(Ram at 35C) idle and max 50C (Ram at 40C) on load. The CPU running at temps higher than 60C is considered to be too high IMO. If you're willing to change thermal paste and/or heatsink you can do that if the PC case has enough room. You can also, if you want to, downclock the CPU (if you can) and see if running at lower temps helps. You can also check in your BIOS if you can make these fans spin faster.

8800GT =! GTS250
The GTS250 has a higher clocked core, a smaller lithography process and a different PCB layout. All of these combined make it less tolerant to heat, though 110C is still in the extreme danger zone for an 8800GT, you probably damaged it, and it likely doesn't have the same level of performance it had before you started frying it, just like how the P4s > 3 GHz would gradually lose performance over time from overheating damage.

My 5750 starts blue screening around 75 degrees.
