Hello there.
I have a small pink pixel near the centre of the screen, and no matter how long my computer has been turned on, it will be visible. It's an Acer Aspire 5920, and I've had it for (almost) 2 years now.
I've also had problems with it overheating, so I bought a fan to put my computer on top of.
So, would the pink pixel indicate my GPU is dying?
It's a Geforce 8600m GT.
Please help guys :3:
Your GPU is not dying, it is usually just a separation in the fluid-like substance behind the plastic in the screen. Try pressing on it with your thumb gently [Just hard enough to see slight color distortion around where you are pressing], rolling left and right. If that doesn't work, try rubbing in a circular motion.
This works on most LCD monitors.
If that doesn't work, just don't focus on it and eventually you will stop seeing it.

Well, rubbing my computer gently, didn't exactly work, so I'll just ignore the pixel.

Run that for half an hour.
If that doesn't work then it's going to be stuck forever.
on my old monitor I had a stripe of dead pixels like straight down through it :(

If it's just one Pixel then you shouldn't really worry, it's nothing, I have a dead pixel on my laptop, and there is no technical changes
Be worried if you have it on a touchscreen phone, impossible to get rid of :frown:
