If I was to carve something out of a melon, say a face, or some sort of sculpture.
And covered it in PVA glue that drys clear, would the melon stay preserved and looking nice?
Or would it go all nasty?
Or is there a better way to preserve it?
Some egsamples of what I might do:

I don't know why but I just love the way melons look when carved as art. :v:

Lather it with your semen.
If anything I think that would only speed up the rotting phase.

oh you so witty.

how would that help?

Wait what?
it would still rot, sorry
Thanks, I thought if I could make it so air could not get at it, that it might work.

Was before someone made a refarence to boobs, you know, melons?
What about dipping it in wax? Not just any type of wax though, since many candle waxes and parafin waxes turn white when they harden.

if you can get a clear wax and melt the wax and then dip the watermelon into the wax, it would destroy all the bacteria in it, and it would prevent rotting. so yeah, that
If you coat it with sugar it will act as a preservative and stop it going mouldy. Or you could lather it with your semen as I said before purely to say you had (it won't have the same preservative effects).

I will try it then, now I need to find a clear wax.

no it won't. there will still be bacteria in the flesh under the layer the wax will penetrate. with something as a) watery b) porus as a watermelon you're really going to struggle to preserve it.
Damn.
Oh well.
Pictures are the best presevative! :v:
definitely! it's a cool idea, post pics if you end up doing it, and good luck!
Sounds like you may be out of hope :/

heat up the melon and kill the bacteria :v: (this will go wrong)
