No Zombies? >:
Interesting, so guys running around stealing from the same 5 locations for fun eternally decided to branche out and tried robbing a hospital and caused the zombie apocalypse?
I dunno what to think about this to be honest. It seems like a bit of a forced crossover. Looks like a fun new mission for Payday though.
I'm quite excited at the opportunity to explore more of the L4D backstory. I think it's really cool that they're merging the 2 universes. Shows us a bit more of the world before it went to shit and it might explain how the outbreak really began. I can see them retrieving the vial for some unknown contractor to release or perhaps the robbers themselves accidentally screw it up.
The rumour of a L4D prequel was sort of accurate then.
I was thinking about getting this game. Now I'm definitely getting it.
Dang, the video was removed, is there another link? Edit: Never mind, found another link.
Is Payday a source game?
The rumour of a L4D prequel was sort of accurate then.
Well, they can't make a 3rd one, it's against policy.
Sounds to me like the basic story is these crooks break into the quarantine zone where the infection is being contained (probably to kill off the infected or get a vaccine or something) police come in, quarantine is broken, infection spreads.
It's not a prequel it's just a fun map for Payday.
Yeah Valve just confirmed it wasn't a prequel, Chet called the video "over-hyped marketing guys"
This is cool. I'm glad they're finally adding a story to how the infection began. The comics and story within the games just left me wanting more, particularly elaboration on the infection itself.

It would be pretty amazing if some of the zombies broke out when the cops arrived so there's just this clusterfuck of cops vs. robbers vs. zombies.
So this isn't canon?
So this isn't canon?
According to Chet, no.
IT IS NOT CANON, AND NOT A PREQUEL http://www.gametrailers.com/side-mission/2012/06/15/paydays-no-mercy-map-not-a-left-4-dead-prequel-says-valve-writer/

I think I see one or two zombies caught in the crossfire of the police and robbers in the video
I think I see one or two zombies caught in the crossfire of the police and robbers in the video
Could be zombies or could be civvies.
That glock looking gun looks interesting for CQB.
This looks terrible.
This looks absolutely horrible. Payday is way overrated and I won't be getting this
Could be zombies or could be civvies.
Actually its just police officers getting shot at.The odd death animations made me think they're zombies at first
