"This website has been reported to the police. Please close the browser page containing this website" Nah *Download*
"this site is being monitored. downloading this ILLEGAL torrent will result in absolutely nothing" ok *download*
pfft ads, If the person is illegally downloading stuff most likely they are using adblocker.
"police to help fund piracy sites"
*installs adblockplus*
Wait, did anyone think this through. They are for real going to PUT UP ADS on piracy sites? Doesn't that like, cost money? Are they going to FUND the sites they're trying to get people off of?
just slap cutouts of police officers all over

Pirate websites will get money from the advertisers on there if the advertisement is seen or clicked. So, if instead of a "find hot milfs in your local area" advertisement raking in money somehow for the pirate websites, instead there will be a "we're the police, please don't pirate" advert which will generate no money for the pirate website. However, this would mean the police are wasting money putting up useless advertisements half of pirates are never going to see because of adblocker. That's what I got anyway, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

"We'll enforce laws to protect companies that refuse to adapt their business models to the current milenia"
What a waste of taxpayer money holy shit
I like how they act as if people only download pirated torrents because they mistake the site as "genuine". Suuuuuure.
I guess they're unaware that anybody who torrents, will have an adblocker.
-snip, wrong therad-
I think people that are pirating are pretty literate and this does a terrible job at making sites people are used to using at not looking "authentic" rofl 10/10 you're stupid
"police to help fund piracy sites"
"multiple users dont read article and see it reduces funding"
well, if you find one these ads, then you can assume the website your on is quality at the very least.
"Intellectual Crime Unit" Dumbest fucking thing I've ever heard of, what the shit is an intellectual crime anyway? Preferring George Orwell to Ayn Rand?

They look a bit like those police virus scams. It's going to be a bit hard to take them seriously.
You can bet there will be some user tracking going on with those ads, not the dumbest plan if they are just going to hand over the evidence to the companies willing to prosecute people.
