Maybe he got sick of EA's shit? Props to the guy if that is so.
Hoping for a SimCity ripoff on what it should have been
I love those kind of games! Reminds me of the old powder sim games.

They're a indie venture working on mobile games.

He tired of SimCity specifically. He likes sim games obviously but I think he'll be aiming for a different subset of them.
Kinda sad. SimCity is still a pretty great game at the base level, it's just full of unrealized potential and minor problems along the way.
Like, I legitimately loved playing it for the first 25-30 hours and still kind of want more of it, but the tiny city sizes, forced server interaction that runs worse/slower than if it was all just local, RCI balancing issues, ease of getting a city "fully developed" and a bunch of other stuff get in the way
It's a great game that lets you do so much and yet you can never go the distance with much of it. Excellent interface, best road tools, looks fucking great, following traffic around to kill time is actually a lot of fun, etc. But then you keep playing it and wish these few small things were fixed to be working properly or better balanced or much deeper and it just isn't.
hopefully this new studio will make the sequel to sim ant
Im courious of what games they will develop
