In case theres another well known atf i'm talking about the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
Needs improvement. or just get rid of it
They serve a valid purpose and do a reasonably good job of it. The rules they uphold are debatable but they didnt set them, congress does that.
Excellent way to get rid of loud dogs in the neighbourhood, 10/10 would recommend.
The name is kinda funny. That's what I think of it.
No matter when I hear the name
the atf regulates everything I like so I hate them
Too much funding. Superfluous. Hasn't had a reasonable mandate in decades. Get rid of it.
Needs improvement. or just get rid of it
tbh the answer to anything that could be improved in any way at all is to get rid of it MAGA
They've been instrumental in the death of over 150 people through their catastrophic failed operation called fast and furious. So there's that.
in 1993 they were directly involved in the death of 79 innocent (at least as innocent as a cult could be) people in one day
It's not helping that their record keeping is complete shit. A recent FoIA request revealed an unacceptable amount of discrepancies in the forms they are supposed to keep and maintain on firearms. While this is a blog, it does have the information that is relevant to the ATF.
