With some of these items they are "combo'd" together giving discounts. Which with this a free Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, and a 4gb flash memory usb
Total: $840
I have a HDD and optical drive already... don't need
I posted this build to get some feedback, up for some improvements... If you don't know what you are talking about then don't suggest. :(
That PSU is kinda overkill
That PSU is kinda overkill
... That was pointless to say. $20 off with a combo, meaning if i get a 600 watt it would be the same amount of cash, and no it isn't overkill :(
I said improvements, not downgrade

No you get a combo with lesser wattage.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.362532
Also a 500 watt is fine. Then get a gtx 470.
[editline]04:09PM[/editline]
Also get the 955 cheaper and .2 ghz difference.
nevermind :(
Why don't you understand that it is not a downgrade going to the 955 just common sense to save some money and not lose and performance also then get the 600 watt combo and still save money. But if you would like to be stupid and ignorant sure go right ahead but you will get no help here.
[editline]04:30PM[/editline]
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127501
Also get this card.
why don't you fuck off if you don't want our advice, you made a thread asking for our help in the first place
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131637
Get this mobo also because then you can sli the 470 later.
Note to self, never ask facepunch to help you on something, they have no idea what they are talking about.
I don't want to downgrade.
Thread ended.
[editline]08:18PM[/editline]
Planning on getting another 5850 eventually to crossfire with the 700 watt instead of the minimum requirement 500 watt.
That difference is OC'ed just like this, it's no downgrade.
This guy isnt going to listen to any of you so give up. Hes just a stubborn bastard, and quite frankly its his loss.
get a i7 980x and a 5970
This guy isnt going to listen to any of you so give up. Hes just a stubborn bastard, and quite frankly its his loss.
I've made a few other threads, the suggestions were crap and unconvincing. Not just based off this single thread... gah
Dude people are giving you well educated advice, if you weren't going to listen to it why make a thread in the first place?
I've made a few other threads, the suggestions were crap and unconvincing. Not just based off this single thread... gah
Also I said thread ended, because I'm sticking with that build... nothing wrong with it
Except you are spending more than needed and not getting the highest performance possible. :downs:

No your stupidity was posted in the op so it is the topic.
Dude people are giving you well educated advice, if you weren't going to listen to it why make a thread in the first place?
You have no idea if it is well educated... I don't care if I'm spending a little bit more for slightly better parts... lol?
[editline]09:39PM[/editline]
No your stupidity was posted in the op so it is the topic.
I'm stupid for well rated, and over a week of research on computer parts?
This is what I've got over literally like 30+ hours of time looking around. [because I have nothing else to do, this computer doesn't have a graphics card, it died :( ]
Also, tell me what is stupid for buying something that is slightly more expensive for slightly better performance.
[editline]09:41PM[/editline]

I'm listening but that was only one suggestion. "people are giving you well educated advice"
Well first of all they replied within 30 minutes, and also only one person suggested something.
[editline]09:41PM[/editline]

also get back on topic, or leave, thread reopened apparently :)

No you are spending more for worse performance. You are buying a 5850 when you could get a 470 with the same budget hmm sounds pretty stupid to me also newegg reviews are garbage and should almost never be trusted.
The thing about the 965... its just a 955 overclocked by .2ghz, which you will probably be unnoticable. You can easily OC it by .2ghz so its not worth spending the extra.... oh wait, you know a hell of a lot more than us, because you're so superior.

What makes you think I'm only talking about newegg? Just because I give links to newegg, where I'm going to be purchasing the items...
There's a such thing as google search you know?
Lol, and for you to think I had 30+ hours of research on newegg is just ignorant :(
Get back on topic like I said, 5850 suits my needs and it is also $40 cheaper.

So worse performance "suits" you better. You are just making it more obvios that you spent 30 hours on newegg because you obviously didn't look at benchmarks for the cards.

Never said that. Quit putting words in my mouth.
I said it is slightly better, for slightly more of a price... quit arguing with previous statements, you haven't suggested anything you're just ranting about me, leave the thread.

If he gets a 5850 he can crossfire, not to mention if he does crossfire he'll need more than an OCZ 500 watt, I'd 600 watt or 700 watt is I wanted crossfire. Also remember that the M4A79XTD doesn't support SLI, and the 470 uses much more power. the OP doesn't seem stupid at all to me.

That is why I posted an sli mobo and the 470 and if he did sli the 470s I would recommend the 600 watt or higher.

So you are saying that something you could do in under 2 minutes is worth about 30 dollars.

I didn't compare gtx 470 because I want the radeon series.
Also gtx 470 has more problems: hot, costs more, and overclock-ability is less than the Radeon 5850, I can get the 5850 to do better than the gtx 470 (didn't spend too much time on research on this, because I wasn't searching for something I didn't want.)
Quit debating with me, and suggest something or leave, it isn't worse performance, I'm running on a 1680 x 1050 screen so I would not tell a single difference between the cards...
Also did I mention it costs more.

$20, but I get a $60 game meaning the actual cost would be... hmm lets see
$130 newer amd 3.4ghz or the
$110 older amd 3.2ghz
I'm not picking for a new processor, I'm sticking with that. :(

Yes, exactly
I'm also getting the 5850 because it costs less yearly for the electric bill :)

Ughh the 470 is fine and it overclocks less because nvidia has lower clock rates overall so the overclock ability is therefore lower. Also newer doesn't mean better that is like saying the new celerons are faster than the core 2 quads. Finaly if you got what I posted it would end up being cheaper.

I'm not debating about the 3.2ghz processor, fine if it makes you happier I'll go save $20 and get that. There took your advice
"Ughh the radeon 5850 is fine and it overclocks more because radeon has higher clock rates overall so the overclock ability is therefore higher."
Also, radeon 5850 doesn't consume as much power, a few dollar less electric bill a year, see previous edit or post. (power consumption chart)
Also, gtx 470 still costs more than the 5850.
Cooler temps on the radeon 5850 will prevent my $310 card from frying.
.... once again Cooler, Less power consumption, overclock ability is great compared to the gtx 470
I'm not saying the gtx 470 is a bad card, I'm just saying the 5850 is my preference.

a 470 isn't going to fry :downs:
and big woop if the 470 runs hotter, it's designed that way

You know somethings wrong when the GTX 470 is hotter than a 5970
