I don't see the point. Couldn't you just wear headphones and listen without Premium?
If they do this, they need to be careful of how it's implemented. Seems like it could be really easy for people to end up spending their whole cab ride fumbling with their spotify app trying to pair it to their current vehicle.

It doesn't work that way. You connect spotify to your uber app and create a playlist (or add your playlist in the uber app idk) and then whenever you order a cab and the cab has spotify support that playlist will play.
