I need a new phone. I don't like iphones and I dont want to spend more than $500. I want something with a physical keyboard.
Neat
Sounds to me like you should buy a phone with a physical keyboard. I hear some of them even go for UNDER $500!
My Galaxy Nexus is amazing. It's definitely old but it still receives updates all the time and is always on the newest copy of Android. There's also no physical keyboard, but everyone I know who was ever worried about having one ended up never using it.
Recommendations?

I quite enjoy my Galaxy Nexus as well, but the Nexus 4 is out now I think, so they should probably check out that instead.
Just get the HTC One. Fuck price tags right?
I don't know anyone with a phone that has physical keyboard, which is a shame because I liked them. Really though once you get used to a good touchscreen you won't miss the physical keyboard.
I've just ordered a near mint Galaxy S3 for £230, if you want to save money it's a good idea to check ebay for unwanted upgrades an the like.
Other than that we can't really help unless we know exactly what you want from your phone.
Don't get a phone with keyboard, they all have really shitty hardware because qwerty phones are no longer found attractive by most people. Just get a regular slate phone and learn to use Swype, it's much better.
Nexus 4. Depending on where you live, it isn't too expensive.
I just recently bought a 8xHTC and its great. The touchscreen is pretty nice.
use a touch screen (zero gap) plus swype+.
Unless you have a medical reason to need a physical keyboard, I'm gonna agree with everyone else and just say get used to the touchscreen - it's really not horrible and Swype is actually pretty damn easy to use.
Buy ten Nokia 3410s and carry them around in a bandoleer like the one Arnie carried grenades in in Terminator 2
You're bound to fit under the $500 limit, they all have physical keyboards, and you'll never have to charge a phone again
android.
This is my phone.

Holy crap, no. That's $100 and looks extremely outdated.
I got my Nexus for $50.
