At this rate, GTAV PC will be bundled with HL3.
$200,000 in-game cash to make up for it? :suicide:
This actually makes me respect Rockstar a bit more since they're not settling for the 'release as soon as possible regardless of polish' approach that everyone else is doing
Watch it be buggy as all fuck at release, even with all of these quality assurance delays.
This actually makes me respect Rockstar a bit more since they're not settling for the 'release as soon as possible regardless of polish' approach that everyone else is doing
They're delaying it because they're releasing heists on March 10th and they want more people to buy the console version because it makes way more money than the PC version ever will.
This actually makes me respect Rockstar a bit more since they're not settling for the 'release as soon as possible regardless of polish' approach that everyone else is doing
What are they going to accomplish in two weeks though? And why was the original release date set so early only to be delayed three times? Yeah, 2014, Ubisoft, I know. They should take their time. The delay isn't the issue, it's what is going down at Rockstar that allows them to miscommunicate over and over.
Got a couple Chrome addons and... Perfect. Now all references to the game will be changed to other games (mostly games I'm not really interested in like CoD :v:) A few FP examples: *pictures* If anyone is interested in the Anti-Anxiety Kit, let me know.
This is going to cause so many accidental arguments about Ubisoft
I pre-ordered the game a few hours before this happened so it's obviously my fault, sorry.
Starting to piss me off now. I could handle March but this is absurd. I already pre-ordered and I'm so tempted to just ask for a refund. Wish I could.
what problems are bad enough to delay a game a second time, while remaining remedial within three weeks? wouldn't a patch be more suitable for this sort of situation? or are the problems worse than let on by rockstar?
No game is perfect on launch and the only thing to come from these delays will be sub-par performance on certain rigs and the typical errors and such that only surface from the launch. People are going to rage at Rockstar even more come April or whenever they release it, because they had to wait so long and will continue waiting additional weeks or longer, for a smooth and enjoyable experience on their system of choice with no faults. If I was leading this project, I'd have stuck to the original date in January and just left it at that with, at best, a PR statement stating the game is at risk of flaws on launch and any and all should be reported for immediate patches on a regular basis following the launch. That way, you'd have people playing it, no one can blame Rockstar as they were warned, and the community can get to work into the more pressing issues if need be.
Hopefully we might get some sort of compensation for another delay ( More GTA Money, Free cars/house(s), ect.)?

For instance one game I'm following is estimating about 6 weeks between getting the version to be manufactured and players receiving their product.
