They finally released the 660ti! It seems to be really close to the 670, but $100 dollars cheaper. So for all those people I suggested they get a evga 560, I think it's time to use the step up program. Here is a review: http://www.anandtech.com/show/6159/the-geforce-gtx-660-ti-review And here is a chance to win one: http://hexus.net/tech/features/graphics/43689-win-one-five-evga-gtx-660-ti-superclocked-graphics-cards/ http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&N=-1&isNodeId=1&Description=660ti&x=0&y=0
SLI those mother fuckers! I might sell my 7970 and buy two of those.
Gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme! Fuckin finally nvidia, and its just a chopped down 670, which is a chopped down 680. [editline]16th August 2012[/editline] Thats good
fuck I just bought a 560ti and these are only £50-60 more
Isn't the 570 still a better performer?
Isn't the 570 still a better performer?
Nah the 660 Ti should be about 580, probably a bit better.
Isn't the 570 still a better performer?
Well I mean if you looked at the review I posted :P Its about 35% faster.
Hmmm well if I sell my entire computer I might be able to SLI those.
It's pretty expensive compared to the 560 Ti's launch price, but it does include Borderlands 2 after all.
It's pretty expensive compared to the 560 Ti's launch price, but it does include Borderlands 2 after all.
did you see how well it performs? only slightly worse than a 670
And this is why I need a job.
Considering upgrading my 560 Ti to it. May wait for the 700 line, but I dunno how long it'll be until that comes around...
Surely it should be faster, no?
Surely it should be faster, no?
Faster than the 7870? Remember that this card isn't in the 670/680 range and it still performs almost as well as a 7870. It's fucking good.
Surely it should be faster, no?
metro 2033 is an oddball for sure. Any other benchmarks for other games?
Techpowerup has a beautiful average chart at the end of GPU reviews that compares the relative performance of the cards over the ~20+ games/benchmarks.
The memory bus width is worrying.
Considering upgrading my 560 Ti to it. May wait for the 700 line, but I dunno how long it'll be until that comes around...
waiting for the next generation with hardware is the worst logic possible. It updates too fast
I'm waiting for the prices in Sweden to drop. As of now, they cost pretty much the same as a GTX670 (It's only been available in Sweden for like a day yet, anyway.)
I'm gonna go ahead and buy this badass card.
But there are so many to choose from!
I think I'm gonna stick to my original budget till I see the NZ price for it6 (originally I had either a 7850 or GTX560TI and then another to SLI further down the line). OP's review link is attracting me to that Gigabyte OC version however.
It's got the highest clock speeds out of all the 660's sold on newegg. [editline]17th August 2012[/editline] -don't buy evga-
I'm buying one of these then.
Think I'll stick with my 670
Might as well post the price:performance one too
EVGA or MSi. Argh I can't choose
If you're picking coolers, definitely MSI. Don't get the EVGA just cause of the stupid poster and the case badge. You can buy both for cheap.
So MSI or ASUS in that case. Agree for MSi disagree for ASUS. Edit: Funny for EVGA.
I'd stick with EVGA, but that's just me. I LOVE their warranties, and their service. Plus my 570 stock cooler idles at like 35c. No issues here.
Dumb question: Does the bigger number mean it's better? I see y'all talking about 570s and 670s, but I don't know which direction the better graphics cards go.
